Apollo: ...Sooooo.... that was a pretty big fight you had with your friend back there, and your mom. With a lot of harsh language too.
Ajay: Not my friend. Not my mom.
Apollo: Right, right. You seem pretty adamant on quitting this quest and leaving.
Ajay: I'm hot, I'm sweaty, I haven't bathed in three days, I have a head in my hands that's dripping blood on me, I haven't had a full meal since yesterday, and I'm feeling emotions I haven't felt in nine years. And I'm not talking to Luna.
Ajay: Really, I've accomplished what I set out to do and that was to make sure Jenny was safe. Whatever those three do now has nothing to do with me, I've got zero interest in this quest. The universe is stubborn and stupid, but so am I. I didn't need anyone then, and I don't want some big fix-it-all revelation about why I need anyone now.
Apollo: Oof. You're right. The universe is very stubborn. And sometimes it's also very stupid and makes mistakes...
Ajay: I since a "but" coming
Apollo: Buuut, what if the universe was also very sorry?
Ajay: ...Sorry?
Apollo: Mhm, sorry. For hurting you. For leaving you alone to defend yourself against a really harsh world when you were just a child. For making you think that you had to smother every part of yourself to survive. For never being there to ask if you were okay, or hugging you when someone should've. What if the universe is very sorry for the pain you had to go through?
Ajay: Even if it was, it won't matter in a few days. Emotions don't last forever.
Apollo: But it hurt then, it still hurts now, and that is what matters. You're in pain, and it's as simple as that. You don't have to rationalize it and hide it away. Your emotions use to play a big part in who you were as a child. I can't imagine that's changed no matter how hard they tried.
Apollo: So since emotions aren't the problem, then what is?
Ajay: ...Everything is so much, and I don't have anyone to tell me what I'm supposed to do or how to fix it. My guardians are gone- they were the only family I had left. I yelled at someone, probably hurt her feelings, I didn't mean most of it. My friends are hurt, my feelings are hurt, my head hurts.
Ajay: I thought that if I kept moving forward and dealing with everything, then it would all be fine and the pain would've been worth something. But now... I don't where I am, I don't know who I am or who I'm supposed to be, and I don't know what to do.
Apollo: Hmmmmm, then do nothing!
Ajay: Huh?
Apollo: Do nothing. Go nowhere. Be no one. The world really isn't spinning as fast as you think it is. The sun has been resting in the same spot for a few minutes now, I don't see why you can't rest here too. Maybe, when you're ready to move, you'll know what to do. And if you don't then I'm always here to help, and so is Jenny, her brothers, and your mother.
Ajay: Do nothing, go nowhere, be no one...
Apollo: Yup!
Ajay: ...Okay. I can do that.
Apollo: Good. You've been running for a long time, you know?
Ajay: Mhm.
Apollo: You deserve to rest. God's orders.
Ajay: For someone telling me to you sure are not letting a lot of resting occur
Apollo: Hey, I'll have your know that my voice very soothing and required for optimal rest! I could even sing you a lullaby with a lovely haiku
Ajay: Pfft, sure...
Apollo, watching Ajay sleep: ...Looks like I missed one... or two.
Luna: Good job. I probably wouldn't have been able to make them sleep so quickly.
Apollo: Magic touch
Luna: Magic touch, I'm sure. You have a lot more to apologize for and a lot more making up to do, Mr. Universe.
Luna: But I suppose I do as well.
Apollo: Yeah... we messed up, didn't we
Luna: Perhaps more than we knew. Nein would've known what to do.
Apollo: I guess we'll just need to learn from her
Luna: Maybe we do

Deal, you brat!
Ship: Aizawa x Reader / minor Shinsou x Kaminari
Warning! MHA season 6 spoilers!
Basic info & Summary:
Summary: You’re asked into the office for the hundredth time by Aizawa; your niece Megumi absolutely loves to get in trouble and to be honest, you don’t really mind seeing her grumpy teacher twice every month.
The problems start when Megumi decides to make an embarrassing deal with the teacher and turn your whole world upside down…
Genre: Romantic comedy with a deep backstory…? Does that count as a genre?! It’s also a mature story (but not for the sexual content - if that’s what you are looking for I’m sorry, there is none.)
Estimated chapters: 5 or 6 chapters!
About the reader: Reader is 29 years old who’s been taking care of her neglected niece since she was 6 years old. (She’s around 14 now, 1 year younger than Kaminari and the gang). She’s really childish in some ways and really serious in others so she’s quite a good match for the grumpy teacher.
Other info: Aizawa officially adopted Eri and Shinsou Hitoshi in this AU!
General warnings: Swear words, talking about child neglect and one mention of child abuse. A lot of parenting-talk. Might get a bit suggestive by the end.
16+, younger people might find the theme boring. :D
Enjoy my nonsense.
Also, English is not my first language so don’t be too mean, I’m a sensitive potato. 🥔

Chapter 1 - A deal with the sensei!
“What did she do this time?” You sigh, sitting in the comfortable chair in Aizawa-Sensei’s office.
“The usual. One of the kids tried to bully her. Again.” Aizawa sighs, clearly uncomfortable. “I really wanted to sack that guy, but apparently we need as many heroes as we can train, so I couldn’t.”
You are way too familiar with this whole situation already, so none of you really try to sugarcoat it anymore. It’s tiring, but at the same time… well… Aizawa-sensei is an interesting guy and also not bad to look at, even with one eye and half of his leg missing. Do you have a crush on your niece’s teacher? Probably. Certainly. Fuck, you are a terrible parent.
“Megumi-chan can defend herself. You worry too much.” You grin at the hero, clearly missing the point of this meeting.
“I would prefer her not to set fire to his bully’s hair though. This is why we are here. Again. I feel like I see you more than I see my friends.” Aizawa sighs again, the dark circles under his eyes even more prominent than the last time. “Where are her parents, Y/N?”
“They don’t care.” You retort curtly.
It’s true. Megumi might have both of her parents, but they certainly ain’t doing their job.
Megumi’s mother is your older sister. After seeing the young girl being neglected at home, you decided to take her in and cut your ties with your whole family afterwards; you’ve always been the black sheep of the family anyway, neglected then abandoned after your 18th birthday. You were an accident and they did treat you as one through your whole life. Your “perfect” older sister has asked you to babysit her child three times a week, giving you enough money to keep yourself alive but after seeing the damage in the young girl’s eyes and the lack of love an affection in the family you couldn’t do it anymore; one day, when your sister came home drunk, almost hitting the 6 year old child for crying you decided to take the girl with you and start a new life with her. You got a proper job and an apartment with a second bedroom for her. She’s now 14, almost 15, beautiful but dangerous; you did your best to teach her how to defend herself and to never let anyone talk shit about her because she’s amazing; she’s the most precious thing in your life. It was really hard at the beginning, especially as you could never get enough money or have the right circumstances to actually adopt her so technically you are not even her guardian and you could barely make it until the end of the month in the first few years, but things are looking better now; hopefully, as her 15th birthday present you can ask her to sigh the last piece of paperwork so she can finally be free from her stupid “mother” who probably doesn’t even know or care where her child is living but still manages to make her mad once a year on her birthday, calling her just to tell her what a disappointment she is.
Ahh, it’s a long story. Let’s not even think about it.
“Are you her closest family member, blood or not?” Aizawa asks, sensing the tension in the air.
“Yes.”
“Then I won’t ask this question again.” He ends the topic without saying anything else and you are so fucking grateful you want to kiss his face.
… that was an inappropriate thought, wasn’t it?
“I’ll sit down with her today. I might find these stories hilarious but I do know this needs to stop. Thank you for your concern. Also, thank you for your time.” You are just about to leave when Aizawa-sensei cleans his throat to get your attention.
“I actually thought it will be a great idea to sit down with her together.” He mumbles and looks at the door. “Come in, you menace!”
There is giggle coming from the other side of the door then it opens; Megumi dances in and sits in your chair, her brand new nose piercing still red around the jewellery. Aizawa doesn’t comment on it; you already had a chat about that last week. You pull another chair next to her, ready to be told off for the 15th time since Megumi has enrolled in UA.
“Aizawa-sensei, you look as fresh as always, I can’t believe you are SINGLE.” Megumi grins at her homeroom teacher while she empathizes the last word. This fucking kid…
“Megumi, you can’t say shit like that to your teacher!” You yell, but your words are met with nothing but giggles. Fuck’s sake.
“Language, Auntie!” Megumi grins again, and you can hear an almost silent snort coming from the other side; Aizawa quickly schools his expression, looking as bored as always, but you did hear it; he fucking laughed at you! How embarrassing!
“Okay, let’s calm down.” Megumi and you go silent at the same time while you stare at the teacher like you are about to get sentenced to death; Megumi is chill as always, knowing she’ll get away with anything. You really have no idea how did she end up like this but you are a little bit jealous. “So us asking you to behave is clearly not working. Your poor Auntie had to come in 15 times already, and I’m quite sure she’s already bored of seeing me so much.”
“I’m really not.” You mumble out loud, slapping your palm on your mouth. Can the ground open up now? Please?
“She’s really not.” Megumi speaks at the same time, making the situation even worse. Okay, now you are ready to be swallowed by the ground for real.
“… okay. Thank you for enjoying my company.” Aizawa says with a straight face but there is a slight blush decorating his face… GODDAMNIT THIS ISN’T THE RIGHT TIME FOR THE BUTTERFLIES! This is your niece’s teacher! “So what can we do for you to stop acting like this? New class, maybe? You are one of the best students in the school, I might even be able to get you into 2A, if that’s something you want. I can ask Bakugou-kun to help you get ready for the exams.”
Wow, you knew Megumi is the top of her class, but hearing this from her sensei really makes you proud.
“Please, anything but Blasty!” For your surprise, Megumi actually looks terrified; you can’t help but giggle at that.
“Megumi, Bakugou is one of the greatest up-and-coming heroes the word has ever seen, please refrain from calling him ‘Blasty’.”
“Yes, I know, I should respect him as he is the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned.” Megumi rolls her eyes so you give her a friendly slap on the head.
“Stop quoting My Chemical Romance in my office.” Aizawa sighs, clearly done with this conversation already. “And yes, I know the band. So how can we help you?” Aizawa repeats, faking nonchalance but you can see the slight twitch in his one eye.
“Hm.” Megumi makes a thinking face, her black nails slowly tapping on her thighs. “I want you to take my Auntie out for a date and then I can stop doing random shit to get her in here.”
You almost choke on your saliva. She didn’t just say that, did she?!
“What the actual fuck, Megumi?!” You yell with your face red as a ripe tomato.
“Language.” Aizawa mumbles but you can’t even be bothered to say sorry right now.
“What, you are almost 30 years old and you haven’t had a single boyfriend since you took me from my shitty family! I’m just trying to help!”
“Megumi, I love you, but that’s none of your business and it’s also inappropriate!”
“Y/N is right, it is really inappropriate. But if I can stop having these awkward conversations two times a month, I’m more than happy to spend an afternoon with your Auntie in a friendly manner.” Aizawa mumbles, looking at Megumi with a serious face. “But if I do and you don’t stop being a menace, I will make sure no hero takes you under their wings and you’ll be the looser cleaning the classrooms while your classmates are out in the wild learning to fight actual criminals. And when they bully you for that, I won’t do shit about it. Deal?”
What about you?! No one wants to ask you if you are okay with this?! Is it that obvious that you are?!
Ahh, it’s probably obvious, isn’t it. Goddamnit.
“Deal.” Megumi grins in pure victory while you try your best to hide your flaming face with your arms. Megumi stands up and leaves, not even waiting to be dismissed while you stare at the hero with an incredulous look on your face.
“One coffee. I know what I’m doing.” Aizawa says, a little bit offended. “We will send her a selfie and we won’t need to see each other until next semester. I think it’s a bargain.” He finishes his sentence calmly, like this is a normal thing. What’s wrong with everyone around you? “Let’s meet tomorrow at 10 in front of UA. You are dismissed.”
This is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
“Okay.” You say anyway and leave as quick as you can; you can’t wait to be at home and give Megumi the talk of her fucking life after this.
You are going on a fucking date with your niece’s absolutely gorgeous home teacher tomorrow. It’s probably not an actual date but that doesn’t mean you don’t feel like a high school girl going on her first date; and honestly, it has been more than 10 years that you’ve actually been on one so it’s not even that far from the truth.
You really want to throw up right now.
…Next Chapter!

Potato ramble:
- Well, hello there and welcome in this super fluffy story about Aizawa falling in love. I’m not sure how often I’ll post but as I have the full thing written down except the last chapter, it will probably be frequent enough for it to not be annoying.
- In the next chapter, we go on a date with the grumpy teacher and we meet Eri and Hitoshi! It’s my personal favorite chapter, I can’t wait to post it! The next chapters will be longer than this!
- So technically the reader shouldn’t be allowed to act as a guardian without the right paperwork or to have Megumi live with her, but let’s ignore that bit. Every country has their own laws and in my head, the MHA world is quite open to circumstances like this. This is a fanfiction anyway, I don’t know why am I so stressed about small details like this but I am. 😂

Into the Ninjaverse: Rewritten
Good timezone, guys, gals, and everything in the beautiful spectrum~
I recently got brainrot from this idea, but after an old private discussion from someone who got interested in the AU - I realized I created too much of an overlap with the original ITSV/ATSV movies, so first let's talked scrapped/dropped/discontinued ideas for the AU!
Scrapped Concepts
~ The Ninja suit is more like the Spidersuits. I decided I had no idea what to do with this- unfortunately, I came to the conclusion to let this go. Like, it felt too much of a direct copy for one thing, and two I was running myself ragged in trying to figure out what this meant
~ Randy finding the USB? Yeah, no. I have no idea why I included that in an older post- that made no sense to me whatsover
I can't think of anything else I wanted scrapped; if you count the idea of Randy and the rest of the gang having been Spider People, then that's technically another but for now just consider it like, an AU of the AU ig?
Now comes the fun part-
Lore
I can't share everything because of spoilers, but I will share some stuff I can tell you~
The Ninja Society, which are ninjas tasked with keeping monsters and other evils from destroying the multiverse, was founded by "Nomi" and the First Ninja from E-616. Now the dimensions themselves are from ITSV but that's purely to keep myself from getting overwhelmed; Nomi and the Fin had gotten concerned following a sudden rise in problems, but the 'head honcho' - so to speak - is Nomi since Fin is technically retired.
Prior to that, the multiverse mostly kept to its own devices- not fully aware there were others, but of course - following a discovery from Nomi, this entirely changed and well, some universes were far more 'stable' than others. What does this mean exactly? Well, let’s just say, not all of the dimensions in the multiverse have happy endings. I don't know if canon events are a thing within the context of the AU, but I got mean with some of the backstories.
Monsters obviously exist around the entire multiverse and hardly any of them are spared from their influence. This will be key to the storyline later, but honestly the plot deserves its own post and once I can figure out how to do a masterlist- I'll be including it in that too!
As for the characters, I can't share too much without fully giving way the full plot but I will give credit to @thesoundofmadness because it was their Randyverse which gave me inspiration to write this.
I will be sharing more for this later but I'm going to be writing a separate post to explain something for a new blog I'm trying to make since I have no self control.

I'm dumb as hell, so can you explain me why JPtwt is so pressed about Manga leaks?
I mean, I have heard that those who leak spoilers earn some money out of it, so does this money come out of the Mangaka's pocket? If yes, then I'm against it. If not, then what's the big deal? I think there are many bigger issues than this to focus on.
Further, spoilers come weekly, I guess? That too, in Japanese language, so it's the same amount of time as the official release of a chapter—you getting me?
Hi there! Sorry the response is so long. Basically, JPtwt considers leaks ("hayabare") as a crime (it is), engaging with them is something they find extremely distasteful. Not sure why the reaction is so strong, but it is. Maybe it's being protective over manga bcs it's a big industry nationally. However me being Korean, a LOT of people pirate manhwa... so... (though manhwa is generally not as big so the gripe is spoilers & not leaks.) It's upsetting in my opinion specifically because of the fact that the spoilers themselves only come out like 2 days earlier, but, this time it came out on a Friday when they were originally on Mondays (officials come out on Wednesday. But a long time ago, I heard these came out on Fridays and in Korean? Lol. I wasn't there.) Most of the people who were targeted including myself are artists. This is the source of my gripe with this callout/block list, because we never reposted the official copyrighted material in the first place, so bombarding us with blocks and possibly getting our accounts locked when there are people who rely on commissions and a platform to gain said commissions/communicate with commissioners, for instance, is a bit... odd? They could mute us instead... Yes, there are also plenty of people posting the official panels as well, and I get their frustration. But a Japanese twitter user put it well, saying something along the lines of "these users were all also forced to see leaks just like you, except they're not being [immature] about it". In my opinion if I could disengage with leaks regarding manga I would, since this was my policy up until me getting super excited about Kaiser's backstory specifically. I previously did not post about leaks on twitter. The issue is the people posting the original leaks, but they didn't even put them front and center, which I just found confusing. I think technically since English has (online?) simurelease with Japan, it can affect sales. By how much, I'm not sure, because Twitter isn't a real good gauge of just HOW many people see the leaks (a user called Rayuga is the main one as far as I know, and their main has like 90k+ followers, so I'd imagine their reach is still above that follow count... but it also can be less, because twitter is twitter.) I apologize if this is already common knowledge because before joining twitter, I mainly got my leaks from Reddit without considering the source. Scanlations (A group called PO2? is currently scanlating Blue Lock) also probably has the same effect, which when I was in Scans, in my group we had a hard rule that an English official copy being released would warrant us to drop a series so that the author would receive fair support. So not doing that when there is an english copy, is probably damaging. I never checked if PO2 takes donations or have a Patreon or anything like that, which from my time in scans is GENERALLY looked down upon internally within the community. If they do, this is something that I wouldn't really condone openly, specifically because it's still unauthorized redistribution. Attempting to profit off of that usually is because sometimes scan groups will pay their staff. Me, personally, I always worked for free. But if they don't, then I have nothing to say. I don't think people who would have not bought the chapter even if that was their only option would've ever contributed to sales in the first place, right? So it depends. In conclusion, I'm sure there are losses. But it's hard to gauge by how much, so I simply listed all the possible factors for you to judge by yourself.

Thank you @bagheerita for the tag! I only have one fic so far, and it is kinda still a WIP… so not sure how I can answer any of these without getting repetitive lol! :D I am also not really a writer; I am definitely an artist but just write for myself... But I will try my best.
How many works do you have on AO3?
Only one at the moment (Springtime in Saltwic)! I actually started writing it a year and a half ago, but made the decision to publish it a couple of months ago. It is technically done, but as I am releasing it one chapter at a time I am taking the chance to make some minor edits. I am planning on a second fic once this one is done, but it will probably be even longer than the current one so no timeline on that yet.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
At the moment, 94,685, but the finished fic will have probably closer to 115K (maybe more, I just added a chapter lol!)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
The Last Kingdom. I have never written a fanfic before, ever, in my entire life. I felt overwhelmingly compelled to write for this one though.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
I just have the one, so...
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
YES and I LOVE comments! Even if it is only a few words, it makes me feel like it was worthwhile to publish my fic. I almost gave up at one point because I had no interaction on my fic, but I got one wonderful comment and it gave me the courage to continue posting chapters, so it really makes so much of a difference. I don't think readers really understand the impact that a single comment makes on your self-esteem.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Again, only the one so far, and it is not completely published yet so... no spoilers!
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Same as above! :)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I haven't yet, and I hope I never do...
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Um, not exclusively? I like to craft slow burn type stories, and I will include an intimate scene if it is indicated but that is not the main point of the story. I am not against it, I just don't like to write that kind of stuff.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I haven't and don't think I will since that kind of genre does not appeal to me personally.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware of. Although I really doubt anyone would bother with mine tbh.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Again not that I am aware of. I mean, I haven't done so myself, but I know one of my readers does not speak English so they probably translated it for themselves (I would assume).
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Nope. Although that might be fun!
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Aethelflaed x Aldhelm has consumed me; and is the only ship that has really inspired me to write. I have had other ships but not been into them enough to want to write anything.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
The story I am currently publishing (Springtime in Saltwic) was torn apart and rearranged about 4-5 times, and the original story that I was planning on telling was dropped for the one I am writing now (it was a post Season 4 story). I like the one that I ended up writing, so I don't think I will ever publish the original version; not that there is really much left of it after it has been cannibalized by my current one.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I am not really sure, since I have not been doing this for very long. But I like writing character development and backstories, motivations, introspection, that kind of thing.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I hate writing conflict, even though I know it will resolve. When I got to that point in my story, I really had to power through it. I also am not so good at sensory descriptive writing. I know some people are so amazing at really bringing you into a scene with amazing visualizations, but I am more of a get to the point kind of person when it comes to writing, so I have to learn to try to include those.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I personally don't like it, and I would not do it unless there was no other way to say something. I hate how you have to get some kind of explanation or look u some word, and it takes you out of the story. Unless it is done elegantly, which is difficult.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
I mean, again this is my first fic so...
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
I guess the one I am writing now? I wrote it entirely for me, as a way to get the daydreams out of my head so they would stop driving me insane. Never really intended on writing a story in the first place, it just sort of happened!

The Devil and the Dark Water
I finished The Devil and the Dark Water by Stuart Turton (same author as The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle). Also technically a supernatural mystery novel, but this time a full pastiche of Sherlock Holmes, and whether the supernatural aspects are real or not is part of the mystery. This one wasn't really my kind of thing, but it was still an interesting enough story.
The main protagonist of the novel is Lieutenant Hayes, the Watson to investigator Pipps's Holmes. The setting is on board an East India Company ship headed back to Amsterdam in the 1630s. The twist is that Pipps was arrested right before they set sail, so Hayes has to solve the mystery pretty much without him. The governor general's wife is also investigating the mystery with some of the other women, and partners with Hayes instead.
The mystery? Ship's hella damned. From the moment they start boarding and a tongueless leper curses the ship and bursts into flame, to mysterious lights following them at night, the animals mysteriously slaughtered, and finally a good old-fashioned locked room murder. It all connects to the devil from Hayes's childhood, which makes it pretty obvious that it's the kind of myth that people hype up to excuse their own evil deeds towards each other. Except in the decades since and especially on the ship, so much more unexplainable terrors happen, and it ties together a lot of the characters' backstories, so you can't be confidant this isn't a setting where the devil is real.
It does all get resolved in the end, of course. It was very satisfying watching Hayes and the others work through the mystery as everything goes to shit around them, and the characters were all very enjoyable to watch in action. For a story set in the 1630s in the style of Sherlock Holmes, most of the protagonists act incredibly modern, which I can't say is a bad thing. Certainly not one of my favorite books, but perfectly enjoyable.
Until the very final twist. Spoilers for literally everything, including who's behind it all:
It was Pipps. He had himself thrown in the brig so that he could puppetmaster everything that happened, and no one would expect him to be around to help solve the mystery. This is obviously a betrayal in the eyes of Hayes, but it was also one step beyond plausibility that it almost felt like the narrative was betraying the reader. Even that I would've gotten over if he got his comeuppance in the end (and Hayes was certainly ready to kill him when he found out). But even though his plan to terrorize and murder the evil governor general was justified, his actions led to the deaths of hundreds of sailors and soldiers on this ship and likely more across the other ships in the fleet that were ravaged. But then they let that all slide in the comic book standard of "mooks don't count," and that pissed me off.

Oh, when you said main character jumping off a skyscraper, my mind immediately went to Espella, but I guess the Bell Tower isn't...exactly? a skyscraper?
I... hadn't about that.
You see, that was my biggest problem making the poll: how do I make it specific enough to evoque a known scene/character without accidentally referencing others but also vague enough that I can describe it in an option and not bore the reader.
I did look up the definition of skyscraper when writing the options: it seems that it needs to be 10 stories high or more, so I'm afraid the Bell Tower wouldn't count. ^^"
Thanks for the ask!
I'm now gonna take the liberty to rant about other possible answers to each option that I thought of. I'm sure there's ton of them that I didn't count, please if someone has a "well, technically this can also count", add it, I'd love to hear it. Spoilers for basically everything below.
A main character jumping of a skyscraper: So there's the CV hang glider, which is explicitely onscreen. But then there's Descole and Layton jumping from the Obsidian Tower in Azran Legacy, which is not onscreen per se but it does happen. Even the Mobile Fortress escape in UF can count as "A main character jumping of a skyscraper" if certains descriptions are streched enough.
And now you mentioned Espella which I totally forgot about! If we're counting the Bell Tower as a skyscraper, we can also count the first Masked Gentleman appearance in MM. So much jumping of high places.
An explosion with 10 casualties is worded this way so it's specifically the UF one. Loads of explosions with "we hope no casualties" in almost every game/movie.
People in cages being thrown into fire is worded this way so as to not to contradict what is later revealed is really happening.
The extintion of an species: Now thinking about this one, it could be argued that Azran Legacy also depicts this. Maybe? I'm not gonna. But it could.
An avalanche with unknown number of casualties. I did look up the exact definition of avalanche to make sure floods by both water and sand didn't count. Also the reason is "Layton games/movie" is because, with my luck, someone I don't remember in LMDA has a tragic backstory with an avalanche.
An actual ghost: I was thinking of Sophia in the cutscene, and though some people would think Claire but I just now remembered about Melina! She could easily count as ghost too!

Sumeragi Yuuta — Thoughts on Melanie Charment
Character Featured: Sumeragi Yuuta
Mentioned: Melanie Charment, ‘her’ (@windbornearchon iykyk /hj)
Warning(s): Slight spoilers to Yuuta's backstory, Yuuta and Melanie aren't that close 💀 , Yuuta can be his own warning ngl, potentially ooc
[ Apologies for any out of character moments ]

“Who…? Oh- OH, Melanie! Yeah, I know her… To some degree. We live in the same dormitory, but we don't talk much. Frankly, I'd prefer it to stay that way. She's endearing, but not someone I'd hang out with. And, uh… She kinda reminds me of… Hm? Oh, you didn't hear anything, trust me.”

Non-verbal Thoughts
╚══ஓ๑†๑ஓ══╝
「 General Thoughts 」
˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥ Yuuta doesn't know what to think of Melanie. She's endearing and all, but there are too many things for Yuuta to do to really get to know her.
➜ Not only is Yuuta also a Ramshackle prefect, but he also tends to be swamped with more work than Melanie. That technically counts as a contribution as to why they aren't that close 😭 (at least at first)
➜ Melanie probably thinks Yuuta is attractive, and really, she isn't wrong. I like to think she does her best to get closer to Yuuta, but his constant errands hold him back from reciprocating her advances.
➜ The few times where they do interact are when Yuuta's not given any errands from Crowley… Which is rare beyond belief. Melanie tries to make the most of their short-lived interactions, in an attempt to strengthen bonds between her and Yuuta.
↳ Louise doesn't really think it's worth it, unfortunately. Alas, they'll still support her decision if it makes her happy.
➜ They could bond over gardening! Pretty sure Melanie would be surprised by Yuuta's love of the hobby and do her best to get on his good side if they ever garden together!
↳ She learned the hard way that you should never interrupt Yuuta's gardening hours in the Botanical garden 😭😭 poor girl
➜ They look like the type of duo to have lunch together, but don't talk to each other ☠️ Melanie could try and engage in a conversation, but Yuuta's too busy counting his paychecks to notice /j
➜ In Louise's opinion, they don't think it's all that worth it to try and befriend Yuuta. Hell, Yuuta didn't even know Louise existed and tried to shoot them with the Midas Roscoes ☠️☠️
↳ That fact probably contributes to Louise's reasons for disliking Yuuta /j
➜ With how little they interact…. Yuuta has the habit of forgetting who Melanie is whenever someone mentions her 💀
↳ Add this to one of the reasons Louise doesn't like him /j /j
༝ㅤ・ㅤ˚ㅤ。ㅤ.ㅤ⋆ㅤ「❃」
「 Interactions 」
❐ Well…. They met through being sorted into Ramshackle, obviously. Although, I like to think that Yuuta was there for longer than she was, and didn't really bother to show her the ropes 💀💀
➜ No joke, he thought he was high when he found out Melanie was royalty, let alone a queen! Like- HELLO;?:!?:!’
➜ Bro was flabbergasted. Even more so when he found out Melanie had an animal sidekick like every other Disney princess he's ever heard of 😭
➜ If they (somehow) get closer in their friendship, Yuuta does his best to defend Melanie in the only way he can. Making threats. With the roscoes. And his influence on Crowley.
↳ I'm not even joking, Yuuta's got Crowley and his wallet wrapped around his finger that he could get away with threatening students with his guns- No one knows why, though! Odd, don't you think?
➜ Outside of the fact that he has an unnatural amount of errands to run, Yuuta also has another reason for not interacting with Melanie all that much. And it all has to do with a certain girl he knew in his childhood.
↳ Pssst, Jas…. Iykyk /j /j
➜ Some bits of Melanie's personality remind him of the girl he knew, way back when. So much so that Yuuta just… Avoids talking to Melanie altogether.
➜ That changed over time, of course. Yuuta learned that Melanie was absolutely nothing like his childhood best friend, and learned to accept that. It was hard to accept, but at least he wasn't projecting his trauma onto Melanie.
➜ Pretty much an older brother figure for everyone in Ramshackle who's younger than him. With how short Melanie is, he tends to use her head as an armrest /hj
➜ He refuses to let her use his guns. No. Absolutely not. They're his and his alone, and he could only trust one person in his life with them.
➜ As mentioned before, they both could bond over their love of gardening! Let's be real, Melanie must've been a little surprised to hear Yuuta being a gardener, of all things.
➜ Mockery begone! No one's mocking this girl, not on Yuuta's watch. If anyone does, they should expect a gold gun pointed below their chin.

Blood, Flesh, and Tears
Name: Torment (He/Him)
Race: Zariel Tiefling
Class: Paladin (Oath of Vengence)
Background: Haunted One
Inspiration & Story: Oh boy! OH BOY! The second they announced the Dark Urge I just KNEW I had to get on this shit! Do keep in mind that while this is technically a TAV character, this is also still a Origins characters (a playable character with their own backstory and stakes in the current story), so their whole deal will be revealed as we go along.
WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD:
Torments story begins on the nautiloid ship with no memories to speak of. All he has to his name is...Well, his name; Torment, strangely enough. Along with these lost memories, he's also have this innate craving for blood and flesh. To reap it and to watch it be reaped. He chose to save Shadowheart while the ship was crashing and immediately recruited her thereafter, but not before attempting to snatch up the mysterious item she keeps on her person. Along the way, he has also included Astarion, Wyll, and Lae'zel into the mix. As for Gale...Well, he'll need a hand :D.
After the chaos of crashing a Mindflayer ship, Torment has struggled coming to terms with this debauched desire to harm people, both innocent and not. It was Lae'zel who encouraged him to utilize this darkness against his foes.
which, compared to the others he confided in about his condition, gave him more of an "answer" than anything else. Being a Vengeance oath Paladin, that's what he will do. His cry for blood will be sated with the blood of his enemies (if he can control where his urges direct him). At the Emerald Grove, Torment has taken a keen interest in liberating the Tieflings, but unlike the previous characters where they intend to talk to the Druids or destroy the Goblins; Torment intends to rid the Druids if he finds any cause of vileness with the Grove. And he will include the Goblins in the body count as well.
His first experience with this was when he rescued a Tiefling child from the clutches of Kagha, the replacement First Druid. While Kagha's reasonings for trying to cast out the Druids can be sympathized with, Torment is feeling the need to spill blood or see blood be spilled. So he's making a rash decision to cull Kagha out of the equation. However, he at least wants proof that there is more to this ritual than just simply throwing out the Tieflings.
Companion Relationships:
Lae'zel: For this, we're gonna start with Lae'zel because Torment has grown to respect her and consider her a unlikely friend. While he doesn't always agree with her methods (scaring a already frightened Tiefling for directions to where her kin was last seen), he appreciates that she is disciplined and straight-forward. Lae'zel has given clear direction and confidence in the Creche that her people possess. Not only that, but her people, the Githyanki have studied and fought against the Mindflayers before (seemingly for a long ass time), so her knowledge is imperative if they want to get rid of the tadpoles in their heads. The only thing is, where will he draw the line with Lae'zel's brutal mind and hand?
Shadowheart: Now that's what I call trust issues! Unlike the other TAVs who, more or less, take Shadowhearts side in their opinion of Lae'zel, Torment does not. As stated before, Lae'zel has be forthcoming and honest about where they can find a cure to their blight. Shadowheart, in Torments' opinion, just wants to point in a random direction in hopes that they'll find a healer. Not only that, but if someone is truly trustworthy, they shouldn't have to say, multiple times, that they are. The many times Shadowheart would ask for Torments' trust on matter, yet not extend that trust to him herself has gotten him on edge around her. Especially since he's having trouble with his memories and already don't trust himself or the world around him. And regardless of her opinion on the Gith Creche, Torment finds it unreasonable that Shadowheart is insistent that it's not a good idea while not bringing up better alternatives. When Torment tried to have conversation with Shadowheart, her constant deflecting of his questions only made him more frustrated and distant from her. Given the right circumstance, unless she finally gives him something to work with, he will not hesitate to kick her out of the group (or better yet, kill her).
Astarion: This is a strange one as Astarion seemingly has grown interested in the amnesiac Tiefling. Though it seems that Astarion is trying to poke at a lions cage in hopes of a reaction. At least, that's how Torment feels. Torment has no ill feelings toward Astarion, especially since he doesn't know that he's a Vampire.
Gale: Welp, I knew what I was doing the second I saw that hand poke out :D! Mf lost in the shadow realm with a missing hand. Lol. Lmao.
Wyll: Torment hasn't taken much time to get to know Wyll personally, aside from learning his Blade of Frontier origin story. But he does respect him and, in a small way, aspires to copy him. Not so much for heroics, but to remember to face his blood filled desires towards the ones who deserve it.
Karlach: Doesn't know her, and right now, doesn't care

To anyone who cares, a quick update on my reading of The Princess Bride: (spoilers for both the book and the movie, technically)
Fortunately, the book did start to pick up for me... starting at page 60. Yes, it was only until after Buttercup thinks Westley is dead that I really, genuinely started to enjoy the book. It was only after that point that the book's similarities to the movies really shone for me, and its new additions became engaging and fun, or at least just interesting.
While I'll admit that nostalgia is most likely the reason why I still wildly prefer the movie, I also think that, for the first time when it comes to adaptations, the way the movie trimmed this book was not only understandable from an adaptation standpoint, but also a necessary improvement overall. The book has its own style and agenda it's sticking to than the movie does, and it's doing that well enough. But when it comes to pacing and overall good storytelling, I crown the movie as the clear winner.
Don't get me wrong, I genuinely like knowing more of Inigo's and Fezzik's backstories. I love them as characters, so seeing the ways they got to where they are now was cool! ... But there were times I was checking the page count and thinking "Ok, when are we going to get to the story again?" I could see why Fezzik's backstory, while heartbreaking and cool to know, wasn't put in the movie, and why Inigo's was brilliantly cut down and put into a conversation he has with "the man in black" on the clifftop. It's so strange, since I normally love the freedom books allow, how they give you time to go deep into flashbacks or take the story in ways that movies can't do easily. But Goldman's style, while not bad, just isn't doing it enough for me to prefer it over the movie.
But still. Why am I making a post now, when I'm still only on page 162? The man in black is still in his disguise, leading Buttercup away from the now-dead Vizzini. Why am I stopping here when there's so much more to read and form an opinion on?
It's because something happened that has forever cemented the book's Westley as the inferior Westley. It's brought down the book a whole level in my mind overall.
After Buttercup tells Westley (who to her is still the mysterious man in black) that she's loved more deeply than a killer like him could possibly imagine, he slaps her.
He actually hits her. And what's more, he raises his hand a second time to threaten to do it again.
In the movie, Westley still isn't a saint- he insults her and calls her unfaithful, which also happens in the book. He continues to make her think that "Westley" died and even "describes" how it happened, just to make her hurt. It's a dick move, I always thought that. But I also understood why he did it- he's hurt. He's angry. He feels betrayed. That's why he's hurting her feelings... but even when, in the movie, he raises his fist, holds it there, and tells her to let it be a warning, I never thought he'd actually, physically hurt her. I always thought it was like everything else in the scene was- a show. A mean one, but a show nonetheless.
In the book, he slaps her. And he'd do it again.
There may be half of the book to go, but I already know that it won't change which version of this story I return to again and again.

do you have any art or doodles of jeffery or ken? i love them sm but i have a hard time visualizing things so i cant picture what they look like in my head 😓
I sure do! Let me find them... (Some maybe minor spoilers for Katzenjammer if you haven't read it)
This is the VERY FIRST picture of Cat and Jeffrey and I think the only almost-full-body Jeffrey I ever drew? It's also my ramble/note sheet when I very first thought up Katzenjammer. Anyway, I love Jeffrey, he deserved better. Poor box head boy. Sorry it's so light; I never inked it in.
And this was first drawing of Ken! (And Laserbeams) Ken/Time is so interesting because he *technically* hasn't transformed, so he could count as one of the administration students, but, like Jake, something forces him to change, and it's something that happens because of his own doing. At least with Jake we see some of his home life that might have made him the way he was, but we don't know anything about Ken's family or backstory. Although he does wear his inner thoughts right out there on his sleeve, so...
I drew him and Laserbeams tied together because they're inextricably linked in my mind.
I'm kind of sad I can't use Ken Kapoor in another book now. He's a really fun character to write. He starts so much shit.

Saw a friend do this, decided to do it on Tumblr where I can type a lot more (and edit it) rather than making a super long Twitter thread.
I'll just put a "-" for any question that I don't have any characterisation developed in order to give much of an answer to. I've never set out to build a character for my WoL, most of the details just... happened. I might come back to edit this with more details in future.
Also, some spoilers if you're not up to date on Dawntrail MSQ and some side content from earlier expansions.
Name: Sumire Medeis, Sumi for short.
Race and main job: Raen Au Ra, Red Mage. Though she has a main job for each role, so also Gunbreaker, Sage, Viper, and Bard.
Striking feature: The most striking would probably be her freckles? Which, although not visible on her character model, she has all over her body. Something decidedly not striking, on the other hand, is her heterochromia, because it's relatively subtle.
Age: I changed my mind on this at one point, but the settled answer now is that she was 23 at the start of ARR. How old she is now depends on whether we count irl years passed since I started playing, or how much time we think has passed in-universe.
Personality: Most of the basic WoL traits: determined, friendly, etc. Something of a gremlin streak, often goes for the funny dialogue options. That said, while the playing dumb options in Dawntrail could also qualify as funny, I didn't pick those – she's intelligent, and self-assured (but not smug) about it. She's very patient (up to a point) in general, but has zero patience for bullshit. Her default response when irritated is snarkiness.
Clothing: As a general rule, anything that doesn't show a lot of skin but does show her scales will be very favoured – she's proud of her scales. She tends to go for relative simplicity, though some details are nice. But anything too elaborate tends to be right out. For colours, purple. Lots of purple. Some blue. Occasional red accents. A constant across nearly all of her outfits is a set of light purple flower accessories: a cherry blossom corsage in her hair, a tritelia earring, and a Byregotia choker (though several of her higher collar glamours cover that one up). You can check out this follow-up post for pictures of most of her main glamours.
Childhood: No gritty backstory or drama here, just a normal childhood in a loving family. Not boring, but unremarkable.
Goals: -
Making a living: No one thing, really. She gets gil wherever she gets it and likes to avoid spending it (especially for crafting, she's very self-sufficient and will gather most materials herself).
Favourite food: -
Worst fear: Losing the people she cares about. Cliché but true.
Hobbies: -
Favoured party role: DPS for the most part, but an all-rounder. Prefers to off-tank in two-tank content, usually, but willing to step up. Experiences all combat but especially tanking and healing on a stress curve where having an easy time is fine, having a tough time is stressful, and having an absolutely balls to the wall frantic time is very stressful but absolutely exhilarating. Of course, one could argue that's technically my gameplay style rather than Sumi herself, and from a character-canonical point of view, she's a true all-rounder who is always more than happy to main-tank when needed and kick the absolute shit out of enemies (in a "what needs to be done" way, not a bloodthirsty way).
Talents: Omnicrafter and gatherer. Could probably also be an academic if she ever laid down the adventuring life, since she's well-versed in so many disciplines (and started as an Arcanist).
Hometown: Undetermined as yet – it's probably never going to be anywhere we actually visit, because it would feel weird to go to her homeland and have no acknowledgement of it. That said, I've come to the conclusion that she hails from somewhere in the East, likely around Dalmasca. She has Thavnairian heritage somewhere in her family tree, and while her immediate family is all Auri, one of her great-grandfathers was a Veena Viera.
Parents: Just two normal Raen Au Ra, good solid parents who raised her well, no real ideas on them beyond that.
Siblings: She's the "oldest" of four quadruplet sisters (Kasumi, Makoto, and Chihaya), and has two younger twin brothers (Keiho and Kansui). Yes, their mother is exhausted. Yes, this is entirely because I was too lazy to differentiate the character designs of my alts beyond giving them different hairstyles and variations on Sumi's heterochromia. And yes, the three sisters are a reference to Persona 5 since, after naming Sumi (not specifically named after P5R), it amused me that there were three other P5 character names in the female Au Ra naming pool. Quick personality rundown: Kasumi (WHM) is shy and bookish; Makoto (BLM) is very caring but puts on an edgy front; Chihaya (MNK) is very energetic and bubbly; Keiho (WAR) is basically male Sumi; Kansui (DRG) is an incredibly socially anxious bean. Again, you can look at the follow-up post if you want to see what her siblings look like.
Other family: Obviously, the found family of the Scions. When Fourchenault disowned the twins, Sumi was fully prepared to immediately draw up adoption papers if necessary. Also under found family are the characters of my two best in-game friends.
Thoughts on love: She loves love. She has plenty for other people, though I wouldn't describe her as especially romantic. Although if G'raha Tia ever got the courage to ask, she'd consider marrying him – she finds him extremely endearing.
Thoughts on sex: An enthusiastic and very bi(pan?)sexual yes.
Thoughts about gil: As mentioned above, she hoards it, but in a frugal way rather than a greedy way. Which she does mostly to avoid having to worry about ever running low.
Faith: Not really, even before she encountered every mythical being under the sun. She's still happy to consider Thaliak her patron just for symbolic reasons though.
Enemies: Anyone who threatens the world at large, obviously. And, no surprise, if you threaten her loved ones in particular, she's liable to end you with extreme prejudice.
Role models: Mmm, nah. People she respects and admires, sure, but not to an extent that I'd call them role models.
Fondest memory: -
Biggest flaw: -
Beliefs: Pretty big on forgiveness, unless someone does, like, multiple heinous things. Hello Zoraal Ja. But the thing that matters to her is whether people try to make amends and be better, which is why she's willing to work with Gaius, and why she (mostly) forgives Bakool Ja Ja. Mostly. He still needs to do a little more work as of the end of 7.0 because releasing Valigarmanda was REALLY bad, but he's firmly on the road to full forgiveness.
Thoughts on allied societies: Mostly ranging from a good deal of respect to a great deal of respect for them. The main exceptions are kinda just tolerating Namazu, and absolutely fuck moogles.
Greatest regret: -
Any secrets: Not really. But then, I'd also say that if she had any.

You know, correct me if I'm mistaken, but I don't think anyone actually dies and stays dead (I know there's technicalities but bare with me) in Witch on the Holy Night. Like, given it's a Type-Moon work, you'd think you'd be safe to assume even if just going off of visual novels that someone ends up dying at some point. But I don't think or recall that anyone actually does. Spoilers of course, but Soujuurou doesn't stay dead thanks to Aozaki Aoko even if his death is off somewhere else so to speak, and though you might be mistaken or maybe misremember Beouwolf dying in the main story from getting punched by Soujuurou, but he is revealed later to be perfectly fine afterward and even taking a liking to Soujuurou. I can't remember any moments of anyone actually dying as the Aozaki sisters' grandpa losing his physical form in a backstory before the main events of the story is something I wouldn't count and Aozaki Aoko being near the brink of death due to Aozaki Touko's mystic eyes of death perception is still only near death as she's healed back due to mage body stuff. I'm not sure if anybody could be counted as dying in Fate Hollow Ataraxia to be fair when going off of similar criteria of what counts and what doesn't due to plot spoilers in that story I won't get into, and it might even be the same arguably for Kagetsu Tohya again just depending on how you'd define what counts due to plot and general story setting reasons given where damn near the whole main story takes place (there's definitely side stories in Kagetsu Tohya where people die though).

Alright, answer time (pretty major spoilers for the show- just read the first line if you don't want anything spoiled):
The one that DIDN'T happen is "both brothers have sex with a sea-creature mafia princess"!
Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper get sewn together- true!
The villains Red Mantle and Dragoon get sewn together in season 4's "The Revenge Society". The same episode shows a flashback to their younger selves, who are visibly and meant to be Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper, outside the plane crash that infamously killed both men in real life.
a Major Villain is killed accidentally by a super minor character's stray bullet- true!
Big spoilers here: The leader of the Guild of Calamitous Intent, a shapeshifter, is shot by Headshot (who even remembers that guy) when he accidentally fires into the air. He was an eagle at the time. Headshot doesn't seem aware of who he killed.
the ghost of Abraham Lincoln tries to make the titular brothers kiss- true!
It's in season 2's "Guess Who's Coming to State Dinner". Not much else to say on this one.
Hank shoots his bodyguard after an argument. Said bodyguard is extremely pleased- true!
In the season 4 premiere, Hatred takes over the bodyguard role and Hank doesn't take to it and they end up arguing. Hatred demands that Hank shoot him, Hank does (technically by ricochet), and Hatred goes into this whole thing about taking a bullet for Hank. Weird bonding moments.
a teenage boy runs away with a game show host who enters him into a dog fight- true!
Billy and Pete's backstory in season 3's "The Invisible Hand of Fate" shows that they met when Billy was a contestant on the quizboy show Pete hosted, and they ran away together after they were caught working together to help Billy cheat. Pete enters him into underground quiz shows for cash and fucks up and enters him into a dog fight.
Divine the drag queen was a member of a leading evil organization- true!
This is from the movie. I kinda regret using details from the movie, but I think it's fair game. In a flashback, we see Divine hanging out with the original Sovereign in a group of other villains.
a major character gets apparently pregnant while dressed as Frank-N-Furter- true!
In the season 1 finale, Rusty ends up in the hospital looking pregnant, which is actually a tumor that's a guy and his brother (the Venture Bros is a show). This happens after the family was at a Rocky Horror screening, so they're all in costume, with Rusty as Frank-N-Furter.
Race Bannon from Johnny Quest dies and shits himself onscreen- true!
Race shows up in season 1's "Ice Station - Impossible!" and dies onscreen and his corpse does what corpses do. Technically, the character is changed to be called Red Bannon later when the creators stopped using the Johnny Quest characters directly. Still, he was the actual Race Bannon in the episode, so it counts.
both brothers have sex with a sea-creature mafia princess- false!
I'm sure you could argue me on this, but Hank never actually slept with her. Hank dated her, but a scene in the season 7 premiere shows that she hadn't even managed to get his shirt off in bed. There's nothing after that that implies that anything would have changed in that department. So one brother dated her, the other slept with her.
a character's head is kept alive inside a plot device from the 2nd episode- true!
The main haunter of the narrative was kept alive inside the PROBLEM light from the second episode of the show, "Careers in Science". Just his head, though. And this is revealed six seasons later.
I'm bored. This is aimed at people who don't watch venture bros:

For the alphabet soup ask game, S and C?
oooOOOOOH!
Okay for S I give you Skippy Turnstike my beloved vampire with the braincell and the backstory about which everybody is making shit up at random (the joke is that it all winds up being true). He’s Australian. He’s a doctor, technically. He’s the only one in the damn house who can keep his head on in a crisis, and he does NOT get paid enough. (Because technically he doesn’t have a job, they’re just kind of living off of one of his fake (for tax purposes) cousins’s family (unrelated to the rest of the household) fortune)
And for C I give you my guy Catalyzer robobs but most of his explanation is going under the cut because it contains extreme spoilers for Transformers comics
(Guy on the left, art by @orange-artist)(Oracle and Aster by @nosongunsung11 and @orange-artist respectively!)
SO! He’s old as hell. Was created as half of a matched offense/defense set (flamethrower/shield)(he’s the shield) for the god of transformation, got lobotomized when his flamethrower partner got promoted without him (for being able to lobotomize people) and decided that he looked bad on his resume, and was on the Big Journey to the ends of the universe to see what’s out there and find heaven. Unfortunately, they found heaven. (It’s a hospice planet that shows you what you want to see before euthanizing you) and even more unfortunately, he saw his nephew, who’d stown away on the trip so she could see the world and who he’d promised he’d keep safe, die in front of him, and after that Couldn’t buy in to what the planet showed him enough for it to get him, so he essentially spent ten million years on the euthanasia planet hallucinating and rusting in the corner, to the point that when he’s finally rescued it takes him a Long Ass Time to realize that they’re actually there this time and he’s not just finally giving in to it.
He has a big fuckoff axe and can reshape the ground of the planet he’s from and he’s a bitchass old man who is absolutely devoted to 1 2 3 2 3 4 people not counting god and everyone else can choke <3. Also he’s autistic as hell and kind of really intense about the things he believes in (affectionate but kind of off putting) and we have an au where instead of his nephew dying he winds up co-parenting her with his flamethrower partner’s ex wife and they visit her actual mom on the weekends because she also got lobotomized by the same guy and doesn’t remember that she has a daughter at all.
